Wearing glasses is no fun and contact lenses are one way to get rid of them.  For 30 years I've worn contacts and for the last 3 my lenses have been 1 Day Acuvue Contact Lenses.  These are the best I've found because they are easier to wear, easier to care for and maybe even cheaper too.  Here's what I just found...

See the Johnson and Johnson Acuvue is a high moisture lens that feels comfortable even if you wear them all day.  I thought the lenses I had couldn't be better.  Then I ran out of lenses and went back to the optometrist.  He gave me a few of the 1-Day Acuvue Moist to try.  I had one regular Acuvue left.  It went in one eye and the Moist model in the other.

After about ten hours the next day, the regular Acuvue needed to come out.  It was getting uncomfortable.  The Acuvue Moist was still hardly noticeable.  That's a one time test, but either of the one day lenses is very easy to wear.

What makes it even easier is the no maintenance.  After one day you throw the lens away.  Seems like a waste, but so do cleaning lenses and buying contact solutions and all that hassle.  Disposing of the lens each day means you're always wearing fresh contacts and you have little risk of dirty contacts causing eye problems.  New lenses each day is a real plus.

What about the cost?  You are buying more lenses, but the cost difference over two week or one month lenses isn't much really.  Especially if you don't wear contacts every day, just some days, the lenses aren't really expensive.  Then you don't have to buy cases and solutions either.  So the cost is not too bad.

I'm a big fan of the 1 Day Acuvue Contact Lenses.  Especially the Moist lenses are so comfortable, you hardly notice you have contacts.

You can buy contacts online and have them shipped right to your home.  You get the contacts you want without running back and forth to the eye doctor.  Save money too.
